Anthony Marasco

Barber Stylist

Anthony’s career began fresh out of high school in his parents’ basement. He didn’t have any professional training at the time, just a passion for cutting hair wherever he could.

That passion led him to barber school, where he became dedicated to mastering fading techniques, and eventually led him to Barbetorium. He joined the team in 2015, determined to broaden his skillset and become a more complete hair technician by learning from his peers.

Today, Anthony’s expertise is in fading, and he excels with short-to-medium length hair, building shape and adding texture. He is also known for working with many sports players, from high school level to professional.

Anthony prides himself in having great conversation, forming a close bond with all of his clients and making the barber-client relationship more like a friendship.

Anthony was voted Best Barber by City Newspaper’s Best of Rochester in 2019!

Nico Merritt

Women's Cut and Style Specialist

For Nico, it all began when he decided to leave a painting career 11 years ago. He traded in his brush for a comb and scissors, and has never looked back.

His artistic background pushes him creatively, and helps him achieve what his clients envision for their hair. This has made him a go-to stylist for corrective haircuts and for anyone seeking to take their look in a new direction.

One of Nico’s greatest qualities is how much he cares for his client base and local community. Four years ago, Nico recognized the large deaf community in Rochester, and began learning ASL in order to best serve his growing list of deaf clients. He has since become well known as a hairdresser who can sign.

In addition to Barbetorium, Nico travels the country as a national educator for Hattori Hanzo Shears, sharing his knowledge and skills with fellow stylists.
